A few days left to enter and artworks now for sale…
We are delighted to announce that the Living Art Competition website is now launched so that you may bid for artworks that have been submitted.
Please head to http://www.livingroom.gg/livingart.aspx to view the superb pieces available – with all proceeds from the auction going straight to YPG.
REMEMBER: there are still a few days left until the competition closing date (Tuesday 31st July at midnight) and the competition is open to all ages and abilities: with cash prizes for the best-judged entries in 3 different age groups. The competition is free to enter and entrants are asked to submit an artwork that is an expression of what Guernsey means to them.
The submissions can include any form of 2-D or 3-D medium including (but not exclusively) paintings, original photography (conventional or digitally-enhanced), mixed media, drawing, print making, sculpture, ceramics, glass or even fashion/jewellery creations. Everybody can download the entry form and flyer from the Livingroom website so please help by promoting www.livingroom.gg/livingart which will give you all the info you need.
Why not use this week-end to tap your creative muses and encourage all the family to get involved: photos, crayons, poster paints, playdough, it really doesn’t’ matter what the media is or the standard of the work. It’s what Guernsey means to you. If you are very creative then maybe you would like to submit a piece that you have recently completed – it may soon be in pride of place in someone else’s home! We would love to have a last minute rush of submissions so please do enter…and then go online and bid for a piece too.
I should like to thank Simon Torode and Richard Hardie of Livingroom for their generous sponsorship and for asking YPG to be part of this ground-breaking competition; we are privileged to be a part of Living Art 2012.
